Meet Sydney

Birth Doula, Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, and Childbirth Educator

It is my mission to speak life over women and redefine the world's perspective on birth. It is my greatest honor to walk with women through their journey and help them pursue the birth of their dreams.

Hi friends! My name is Sydney and I am a Registered Nurse, in Labor and Delivery at a Birth Center and a Birth Doula in the Colorado Springs area. I have spent time volunteering at a Gynecology Clinic as a Medical Assistant. I am also a mama to the sweetest, most handsome little boy.

Since becoming a nurse I have worked in the acute care hospital setting in Minnesota and Colorado. But what excites me most of all of these roles that I have played is pregnancy and birth. I believe that birth is a beautiful experience that our bodies were created to do. I believe that our culture unintentionally paints pregnancy and birth in a negative light. It is my passion to speak life over women and to educate them on how incredibly perfect their bodies are designed. I believe that women should dream about their birthing day rather than fear it.

As a mama, I have had a wonderful natural birth. My birth experience was at a birth center and was a water-birth. While this is exactly what I dreamed of for my birth, I understand that this might not be what is best for every woman and baby. What I want is for women feel excited about their birth plan as well as safe and relaxed during their birthing time. Whether that is in a hospital, at a birth center, or at home, together we can plan and take practical steps towards the birth of your dreams.

A little bit more about me:

I love the outdoors! My family and I love hiking everything from garden of the gods to 14ers. We even got to summit a 14er this past summer as a family of 3. You also might find me at the gym, serving on medical team at church, at a local coffee shop (but I'm also a huge Ziggi's fan), or at Costco. If you do find me in any of those places, please come say hi!

My family and I also love to travel on my off months. If you ever need airplane baby tips and tricks, I'm your gal! I have a pro-traveling-baby.

I attended Hawaii Pacific University for my first two years of college where I ran collegiate Cross Country. I finished nursing school in Minnesota where I reconnected with my childhood crush who became my husband <3 We since have made Colorado our home and wouldn't still be here without our wonderful community. We are so blessed!
